Over Kellet Playgroup provides high quality care and education for children from the age of two years until they start school.
We have a lovely hall and large garden areas for plenty of outdoor fun in the beautiful village of Over Kellet.
Our friendly, qualified and experienced staff work in partnership with parents to help children learn and develop. We have excellent staff to child ratios and a full-time Early Years Teacher. We follow the statutory framework for early learning called the Early Years Foundation Stage - the Parent's Guide to the EYFS is available at Playgroup.
Over Kellet Playgroup is a member of the Early Years Alliance and is registered with OFSTED.
In June 2023 OFSTED judged Over Kellet Playgroup to be GOOD in all areas.

MONDAY PRESCHOOL*: this is a FREE school session for children in their preschool year run by Wilson's Endowed C of E Primary School, Over Kellet. Playgroup staff walk the children up to school at 1pm. Parents collect their child at 3pm from the school yard.
FULL-DAY CARE : School also offers a Breakfast Club from 7.45am and an After School Club until 6pm to children from the age of three years with collection/drop-off at Playgroup. Please contact the school (tel. 01524 732097) for more information.
EARLY EDUCATION FUNDING
15 hours of Early Education Funding is available to ALL three and four year old children.
Most working families are entitled to an additional 15 hours, making 30 hours in total. Over Kellet Playgroup is open for 30 hours a week.
Many two year olds are also eligible for 15 hours of Early Education Funding.

FEES (if not funded by Early Education Funding) :
£15.00 per three hour session [£17.10 from SEPTEMBER 2025]
£2.50 per half-hour early start / late finish / lunch (parents supply a packed lunch) [£2.85 from SEPTEMBER 2025]
We also charge £2 for optional activities (for example with the Reading Fairy or SuperBallPaul)
