On Tuesday the children got an insight into Diwali- the Hindu festival which is most commonly know as the 'Festival of Lights'.
For Hindus Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes.

Diwali is known as the 'festival of lights' because houses, shops and public places are decorated with small clay oil lamps that are called Diyas. The children enjoyed making and decorating there own Diyas yesterday during the nursery session and one of the children came to nursery in traditional Hindu Kurta- which is a loose collarless shirt.
