02.07.10 - The committee have held their final
meeting of the year and we would like to keep you up to date with
a few things:
Each week during the summer holidays, we have a number of informal
activities planned where families can meet up at various local parks
and venues. In previous years this has proved very popular with children
and parents. Come along if you are bored, need to get out of the house,
or would like some company! Bring lunch along if you fancy a picnic.
15.05.10 - The Over Kellet Playgroup held their annual Family Fun Day on the 15th May which was a huge success. Many thanks to all the local businesses who supported the event.
06.03.10 - The Over Kellet Playgroup held a Nearly New Sale at the Over Kellet Village Hall on Saturday 6th March 2010. The sale was a great success raising over £450 for the Playgroup. A big thank you to everyone who helped out with setting up, donating, baking and selling.
20.11.09 - The Over Kellet Playgroup Christmas Fayre was held on the evening of Friday 20th November and was a great success. Many local businesses attended and showed their support for the playgroup which raised just over £600!!! The Playgroup would like to thank everyone who attended and helped raise money on the evening. Details of more events will be coming soon.
27.09.09 - The AGM was held on 24th September 2009. This was held at Jackie's house and consisted of a Jacob's Join and refreshments and well attended. Thank you to all the parents who came and supported us. The old committee stood down and the new committee members were elected. The Playgroup would like to thank the time and effort given by those committee members who have now stepped down and welcome the new committee members who have joined us. Minutes from the AGM are available to read on the Playgroup noticeboard. The next committee meeting will be held at the Eagle's Head pub in Over Kellet on 12th November at 7.30pm; everyone welcome.
20.09.09 - The Nearly New Sale held on the 19th September raised over £500 for the Playgroup. Thank you to everyone who participated in helping this to be a successful fundraising event. Keep an eye on our events page for details of our next nearly new sale due in Spring 2010.
12.09.09 - The Playgroup sponsored walk, which was held on the 11th September 2009 at Wilson's Endowed School grounds, was a great success. The event was well attended and all the children completed the walk and enjoyed the sports events that followed on the school fields. Well done to all! Many thanks to all the parents who attended and all those who sponsored the children and we will let you all know how much we raised very soon! Sponsor forms and money are now due, please take these to Playgroup as soon as possible.
